A Piece of The Rock
A piece of the rock drives into my heart
It's a piece of where I was born,
This piece of the rock tears at my soul
In ways that are tested and worn.
This piece of the rock takes me back
To when life had more meaning for me.
This piece of the rock keeps calling me back,
Calling and luring like a call of the sea.
This piece of the rock calls me back to my home
To go and walk on that old rugged shore.
This piece of the rock, though far, far away
Keeps calling me.... more and more.
This piece of the rock is part of my life
It reflects all I've said and done,
This piece of the rock will call 'til I go
And the two pieces, once more become one.
